What happens once someone graduates from med. school, finishes training and becomes a

certified pediatrician? Is the newly certified pediatrician automatically assigned a job at a medical center to practice after attaining the degree? If no, how long does it take to get a job? Does the place you went to med. school and where you did your training matter in getting a job?

Thanks a lot. I'm currently a senior at high school now and I'm simply curious about life after medical school, as I do plan on going to medical school later on.
