I've got my trial coming up for a first offense drug paraphernalia charge. I've been told my judge likes to lecture. My question is if he can ask questions like "have you smoked marijuana since being arrested?" or something along those lines and what the penalties are if I were to lie. I won't be under oath or anything like that as far as I know. And if I say I did smoke will he be able to do anything? I'm going for an ARD as well, so could he possibly give me a worse sentence?
