What happens if someone confesses they are going to kill someone during confession?

In RE, we were doing about confession, and how some Christians confess their sins to a priest privately and the priest must never talk about the sins or tell anyone else.

I asked my teacher if there's any exceptions to that secrecy.

For example, say if a man confesses to a priest in the confession box that he plans to murder 10 people the next week. He refuses to listen to any attempts at persuading her otherwise. Does the priest have to keep that secret as well?

My teacher said yes, even if it's something like that, the priest must always keep it private.

Is that true? It can't be - that wouldn't be right.
Doctor/patient confidentiality is different - if ever others are at risk, it don't count.
