There used to be an amazing Chinese food restaurant on Mott and Hester, in Chinatown, called Wong Kee. It closed about 5 years ago or so. My family and I are still devastated. My grandparents used to frequent there on a regular basis when it first opened, and it became a weekly family tradition, I grew up on Wong Kee steak, their amazing roast pork wonton soup, fried rice, and cold cut pork. Does anyone know if anyone who worked there is a chef at any other restaurants in the area, or what happened to the owner? Are there any other places even close to their food type/quality?
