I find that every Vampire main character (except for Underworld and Blood Ties) nowadays is a whiny emo who goes around saying crap like 'Don't look at me, I'm a monster' and wishing they were human.
Case in point:Angel from the Buffyverse, Edward Cullen (The Sparkly One) from Twilight, Mick St. John from Moonlight.
Why aren't there more stories featuring Vampires that actually like being Vampires, characters like Josef Kostan (Moonlight) or Spike (Buffyverse).
If there are any stories out there with characters like Josef and Spike, please, tell me what they are. And yeah, I've heard of Anne Rice.
