what happened to the wings on the front of the Ducati GP11(MotoGp)....?

the little black carbon wings on the front fairing pf the Ducati have disappeared, i couldn't see them on the photos of the GP12 in the recent tests either....glad too see they're working on the chassis and lowering the front end though...
 
They probably cant decide what they were on there for.
Downforce to the front - Doubtful
Air flow direction for cooling - Probably
But that can be done a lot easier I would thought by re-designing the faring

They were more gimmick then anything else.

KA #17 is still using them for some reason.

The first test of the GP12 had them on with bike 2, but not on the second test.

I'm glad to be honest. they looked stupid. Nothing new either, Heron Suzuki used them on the XR750B in 1982 / 3. They were rubbish then, still rubbish now.
