what happened to the 10th Doctor?

I watched the episode "Journey's End" and the last scene I saw was the 10th doctor leaving alone in his TARDIS.
I continued to the next season (the 4th) and I see the 11th Doctor-when did THAT happen?
did I miss an episode?
if I did, could you please give me a link to a site where I can watch it?
