What good is a credit card...

F.Y.I. re: building good credit, keep a balance on your card and make your monthly payments on time. That will build your credit rating faster than using your card and paying it off each month. Another good reason to sign up for a card with a low interest rate.

Capital One is pretty much just a bunch of assholes who sit around a shiny glass table and try to come up with ways to piss me off.

I get about 3 letters in the mail a week telling me that im "pre approved for a "

I acutally called them, telling them to stop sending me mail. I don't want capital one credit card. And what do you know? They're still sending me shit. So I called them again. What do they do? Keep sending me shit. Thats what.

So im saving them. And im going to send them all back.

I've been thinking about getting a credit card. Believe it or not, though, credit cards don't help your credit as much as you would think.

The card I'm thinking about has a fixed intro rate of 0%, but jumps to 12.99% and up after 9 billing cycles.

Your limit will raise with time, just keep making payments on time.

I have known of credit cards that will deny online purchases, especially if the site isn't verified through whatever company the credit card company wants. It's a matter of security. (From what I can understand, a big number of credit card ripoffs come from little websites that aren't verified, and if your number is stolen, the company has to work harder than it needs to). If you want your porn so bad, go out and get one of those prepaid debit cards from the drug store and use it there. I don't think 6.95 is going to raise your credit score that much.
