I don't know why some people think that they have to try to scare the Sh*t out of young men like you,it really irritates me! My son was polite and respectful to his cadre, but not a butt-kisser.He stepped up to the plate when asked bit did not "over-volunteer". He followed directions and was always on time for formations. He finished BCT and AIT with out any major problems.Sure he got smoked occasionally ,everybody does, but it was nothing too stressful. His old DI even called me at Christmas to say HI and to thank me for being so supportive of our soldier! My son was physically fit but not a fitness fanatic,he did just fine. The marches were long but do-able ,he told me that its alot easier to march for a long distance than to walk that far on your own.I say go for it and THANKS for wanting to serve the USA!!! Best of luck to you.
