My friend in the army, JD, is coming home for Thanksgiving weekend, and I'll be hanging out with him on Friday. I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think he'll have a Christmas break. Also, he is going to South Korea, which most people now know was bombed a few days ago. As of now, it's anyone's guess as to what the US Army is planning to do about it. He is still in his AIT training in Fort Gordon, Georgia, but he's going there in February. He seems a little worried and uneasy about his deployment there, and I wanted to buy him a gift for this weekend, as I probably won't see him again until January. My budget is $25 and I was thinking of getting him something to take his mind off the military while he's in South Korea, maybe something like a book or a reminder of home. However, he is a big computer geek, and that is his main job in the army, so I wonder if I should get related to that. However, like I said, I think it would be a good idea to get something to keep his body in South Korea and his mind away from it. Any gift ideas will be greatly appreciated by me, and will make my friend relaxed.
