What fish can I put with Lucas?

I have a male beta named lucas and tonight I am setting up a bigger tank for him and I want to put some of my own fish in with him. I know that the white clouds will be alright, but what others could I add? I have guppies but I know he won't like them. What about a little orange fish? His name is Osker and he keeps to himself, about the size of a nickel with dull colours, I am not sure what kind of fish he is. WHat else can I put in there?
