Hello everyone, I've been searching a bit in the web about the costs of MIT and here in Yahoo! Answers I found that I should expect a total cost of around 40k a year. My question is: for an international student (I'm from Italy), what are the financial aid programs? I know that many US Universities don't have financial aid programs for non-residents, but I think MIT does. If it does, do internationals get the same help as resident, or not? Also, of what amount of money are we talking about? And what kind of help can I get coming from scholarships and such? Do they apply to international students too? In the answer I mentioned before, I read "My parents spent in total about 100 grand, but we're more of the exception, not the rule. Most people I know got huge financial aid packages, however." If that's the exception, what is the normal?
