What exercise is best for me?!?

I want to get fit, but I'm not fat, I just eat really badly and don't think it's good for me!
So I want to run but I have really thin legs and want them fatter and toned, will running make them just look horrible and muscular?
Also, It's mainly my tummy area I want in shape as atm it's really flabby. But I don't want to do sit ups, are they the only exercise that gets a toned stomach?
