If you have a broomstick (or anything of a similar size/shape), you can hold it over your shoulders, with it resting in the crooks of your arms. Then, you spread your feet (about shoulder-width apart) and lean from one side to the other. When you lean, you should only move your upper body (working your obliques), and your head should be parallel to the ground. Alternate from side to side, and do as many reps as are comfortable for you. Ideally, you would use one of those weighted bars they have at the gym, but a broomstick still gets the job done. Just make sure that you feel it in your "love handle" area.

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think im fat but I do have unwanted love handles. I am 15 and I usually dance everyday for and hour and fifteen minutes at school but its not a challenge anymore until summer classes (which are more advanced and fat burning) start. It's been hard for me to try and eat better as my family goes out to eat a lot and we just had a death in the family so I slept and ate a lot for about two weeks. Since dance isnt everyday, I want to be able to do stuff at home to keep in shape. I am going to start doing sit ups for my abs but love handles are still there!!! We have an electric bike downstairs i can use or i can do some stretches also. Please help, its almost swimsuit season!!!
