I heard they were shut down for breaking copyright laws... But from what I understand, LimeWire is p2p and not responsible for what people share. That would be like shutting down Yahoo Messenger because of internet predators (blaming Yahoo Messenger).
Their software has costed business to lose profit, but I think p2p will continue. Am I wrong?
