Today there has been an individual expressing his/her opinion regarding global warming around this site that claims to be an "Earth Scientist".
Perhaps this person could share with the rest of us exactly what degree one holds that makes you an "Earth Scientist". I'm sure many of us would be simply fascinated to know what stream this person followed to become an "Earth Scientist", what undergraduate studies you may have undertaken and what post graduate studies you have undertaken. What was the topic of your master's thesis?
I invite you to share with us.

The only place I have ever heard of a science called that is high school and lower level courses. I would assume that someone who called themselves an earth scientist was a science teacher.

An earth scientist is someone who studies the processes and species of the earth. That is a pretty wide term though. I, for example, am a doctor of environmental earth sciences at Mauna Kea. There are other types of earth sciences.
