Well i think i might be going to a dance camp on july 20th till July 24th. and well i don't know exactly what to take and stuff...

At my studio I only take one class which is tap but im looking forward to taking jazz also.

It's a dance camp where you learn all types of dance..

Would i have to buy ballet shoes? Because it says i'll be learning all types of dance. I already have Jazz shoes.

Also do you spend the night for dance camp?

Sorry for all the questions it's just that it's my first time going.

is at ur studio? if not then know it depends on how far away it is for staying at it. But if its at ur studio probably not.is it like a campy camp or whatever? you can probably use your jazz shoes but ask to make sure. the teacher might even have a pair you can borrow if you have to.e-mail or call the instructor or the camp they would be happy to answer your questions i'm sure. just remember asking questions is the key to learning. now stop fussing and think of the fun ur gonna have.

it depends on the type of camp you go to.

we go to uda dance camp, its usually at a college, we spend the night there [[in the dorms]] and we dance all day, we learn 3 dances during the time we're there and we perform them for the uda staffers which rate each person by ribbon, blue being best, red second and white is the least.

type of shoe isn't really a big deal you're just required to wear shoes. but jazz shoes are usually a good choice for a camp because you can use them in every type of dance.

camp is really fun, you'll have the time of your life!

good luck!

I have never heard of dance camps that you spend the night at. It's not a summer camp with cabins and counselors and bug bites. It's probably going to be a few hours a day at your studio. The camps I have been to start at 8 in the morning. We get a lunch break then go until about 5 in the afternoon.
About the shoes, I don't think that you need ballet slippers. Anything they will have you do you can do in jazz shoes. They will NOT have you en pointe. Ask about what you should bring, because they might have a dress code.
