Yes you see plenty of black, and hispanic women on tv now, but it was not always like that. Look at the media from the past. Who did you see mostly in movies, what characters were the most important, the most beautiful. They were all white. Black women were maids, or servants. Look on the covers of magazines such as vogue, or on television. All you saw was long blond hair, blue eyes, and mostly thin women. Many people don't even know some of the beautiful black, and hispanic actresses in the 30's, or 40's. We all know Marilyn Monroe( who was a great women) do you know Nina Mae Mckinney? Most people don't. Those women did not get as much fame as other white actresses. Look at the celebrity's today. Our black, hispanic, and asian celebrities. They all try to look as white as possible. With hair weaves, contacts, and nose jobs. They do this, because that is what considered beautiful. Do you see any white celebrities trying to look black( i am talking about females) Do you see them wearing afro's. No. That is not considered beautiful.
