What engine would fit into a 1989 Dodge Raider?

I bought a 89 Dodge Raider last week, and the engine seized on me Sunday morning. Currently, it has the stock 3.0L v6. I like the car, and would like to keep it, but Raiders are hard to find and I have no idea where to even begin on finding another engine that I could drop in. Am I forced to find an identical engine? Is there anything more common that would fit?
