I was given a bike that up until the original owner passed away (2 years ago) ran just fine. I got the bike with old fuel (which I flushed and put in new) and no battery (which I bought a new one) and I had to get a key made. I go to start it and nothing happens. So I pulled the spark plug and checked it, There was no fuel on the plug so I'm thinking that there's no fuel getting to the cylinder. Also while I had the plug out I connected the ignition lead and held the plug to the cylinder and watched it while I cranked it over and it sparked.
So thinking that it wasn't getting fuel I pulled the carburetor and and low and behold the float's needle valve was stuck. Cleaned it up and reinstalled it on the bike and it still won't fire. Any sugestions?
