I have an older Shadow Brand guitar with passive pickups, it's pretty nice, and an Epiphone Valve Junior that I modded that has kind of an overdriven blues sound with a step-on compressor then EQ,(both almost always) and distortion box(not all the time) in front. For the little money, it's a pretty cool blues/rock sound but it doesn't really give that percussive kick with muted strings. Is it a wah pedal set in one position? Is there another and/or wah pedal effect box hat will help? Jimi Hendrix and others do some muted strumming that has that chick-a-chick sound that I'd like to do.
What elec. guitar setup works for that reggae strumming sound like Bob Marley's
