i have spilt a container of anti freeze on the soil / border of my garden, it was intended for my car, but i was disstracted and it got spilt, about a gallon, do i need to be worried re the plants/grass, or pets / wildlife, will i make matters worse by giving the area a good hosing down, or am i best to leave it and let nature take its course, a friend suggested putting lime on it, but i dont want to make matters worse than they may already be, it was neat not diluted anti freeze , blue in colour,

I would dig it up the best I could and take all the mess to your recycling center, don't worry they have seen it all before we did something like this with motor oil. Took yard rocks and all in 5 gallon buckets all they said was "whats in it?" & "Thank you" Don't make it worse with more chemicals just dig it up best you can.
Don't know what your friend was thinking when he said to add lime?? Don't water it down either it will only spread it and make it worse.
