What education do I need?

I'm a senior in high school, but I'm a semester behind, so the first semester of next year will be my last. What I really want to do is open a coffee shop downtown in my town, because we have a 'historic' downtown and the coffee shop there keeps changing hands, because no one can seem to keep it afloat for very long. This is mostly because people who don't really have the education/experience needed keep buying it (for example, the current owner is an ex-principal with no common sense and a hatred for advertising). So my question is this: if I want to pursue the option of opening and running a small business (a coffee shop, in this case), what education do I need? What's the minimum, and 'maximum'? Thanks for your time!

You don't really need any education to do that. What you'll need is a small-business loan to get started. I couldn't tell you what that takes but a call to the Main Street group (most towns have one) or the state department of economic development will guide you through the process. Good luck.
