What does "Update Java DB" do on my Samsung phone?

I have a T749 and I was wondering(before I do it) what really happens if I update my Java Database? Will it delete or reset any of my games? For example, like if I'm playing Pok'emon on my emulator and I update my database, will it reset my Pok'emon game?
