Hi. I am writing a comedy script about a startup company and I'm trying to get familiar with some of the jargon. I know that the word "space" is often used to mean something similar to "market," "segment" or "technology" such as "the social media space," "the telecom space" etc. However, I don't think "market" or "segment" or "technology" are accurate enough as synonyms. I'm therefore wondering if someone could give me a better definition of "space" in the context of the internet/business and provide me with a few more examples. I did a Google search to find a relevant definition but I had no luck. Thanks so much.
