What does the Swiss Army do if Switzerland is neutral?

Are they just there in case they are attacked?
I cant remember what country it is but I know there is one in South America or the Southern tip of North America that has no Army. They let the UN be their military if they are in need of one.
Wouldnt peace keeping missions breach neutrality?
The Swiss were neutral in WWII
