...marriage is sinful? I am not concerned with adulterous sex (sex with a person in marriage). I am only concerned with sex between two unmarried persons. Please try to explain your answers. I don't have a copy of the Qur'an on hand so please interpret the verses. Thanks!

It will be interesting to see what you get for answers. I know some Muslim kids growing up. I had an Iranian friend whose father took him to a brothrel when he was 16 to get introduced to the facts of life. I can't imagine my father taking me to a whorehouse and letting me go at it with a hooker.
The girls are checked when they get married to see if the hymen is still intact to prove they are still virgins. But many Muslim girls use candles as marital aids. A candle? Well, you have to figure that a dildo would be outlawed. But a candle? It doesn't bend and then the wax could get in there and cause an infection.
So there is a lot of double standards going on.
Some Muslim cultures practice what we would consider gay sex but they don't call it that. They also have sex with their animals like goats, sheep, camels. And the women, wives and daughters are considered "property" like their livestock.
There are male prostitutes that go to the bath houses and are available for all kinds of favors. It is not uncommon for men to have relations with their livestock. And then there are houses of ill repute that the men go to for extra marital activities.
Women are considered property. A daughter is the property of her father and a wife is the property of her husband.
The men can do what they want except if he "steals" another man's "property."
In some Muslim cultures, if you steal, you will have your hand cut off. It is also not uncommon for other body parts to be removed from the convicted criminal.

dont let a book tell you how to live. if you wanna go get knocked up, do it.

it does not condemn about sex and marriage very seriously as prophet mohamed himself married a child of 6 years old and 13 other women and so on.

► Zinaa pertains to any sex outside of marriage, including adultery and fornication.

► The Qur'aan prescribes a punishment of 100 lashes to both the fornicator and fornicatress.

Surah Nur {24:2}
Surah al Mu'minun
Surah Nisa {4:14-16}

It's considered "fornication" and the penalty is 100 lashes and exile for one year.

EDIT: The arabic word is "zina."

[Yusufali 24:2] The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment
