What does "the offer is still on the table" mean?

I told this guy who likes me that I like someone else. He told me that if it doesn't work out "the offer is still on the table". I don't really get it...can someone explain? An easy 10 pts! :) Thank you.
 
means he will take you back if it doesnt work out with the other guy. he is willing to wait on you!!
