What does the ECT power light mean on my Lexus ES 250?

What does the ECT power light mean on my Lexus ES 250? there is a light that is on called ECT power and i was wondering what that means? is it good or bad? i just replaced the battery about a month ago
 
When it is on it helps you accelerate faster for sportier driving, but it seems to use a little more gas when I drove with it on all the time. I would shut it off if you do not want to use it.
