what does laissez-faire economics have to do with christian morality?

it tries to combine individualism and a hands-off government policy with blind faith and collectivism, surrendering your individuality for something greater than ourselves. often it openly contradicts, especially in areas of social policy such as drugs, abortion, censorship, gay marriage, surveillance, etc.

obviously the opposite is true of liberals, but in a much less direct way, since we at least know how to separate church and state. but republicans, they'll say christian prayers at rallies, their candidates are devout protestant christians, and they quote the bible to justify their policies.

why? why can't there be responsible, hardworking conservative homosexuals, or women who favor gun's rights but don't think abortion is murder?

doesn't the mass assimilation of religion into the GOP show who really can't think for themselves? because the term "liberal sheep" is often used but never really justified: believing in keynesian economics makes us obamabots.
it's bizarre ... these are the kinds of questions they don't really answer.
