I know this might be a trivial question for some, but I am just curious because I want to be in biology next year as a freshman, mostly because i don't want to take Earth space because I heard it was boring and for morons........... well, what I mean is that my teachers said that they have to recommend you for it if you have the "mental capacity" ......... and needless to say I feel kind of bad because I probably will be in earth science (I never thought I was that smart). I am getting a c+ in science for this year. I just want to know what are they going to look at to determine what science class I will take in my first year in highschool... all answers appreciated!!!!!!!!!!! :-[

If you're in high school, most likely your only options will be Biology, Honors Biology or AP Biology. Biology is generally baseline for all high schools now, so at some point you will have to take at least the regular class. High schools typically don't have requirements for anything other than AP classes.

In New York state freshmen (9th graders) are either put in biology regents or earth science regents. I'm not sure what your school does.
They'll prolly look into your grades.
