What does it mean when a DNA test says the child has a double mutation?

This is not me, just wondering because a friend of mine had a man tested for her child s DNA paternity, he came out to bot be the childs father but it said the DNA had a double mutation, what does that mean? Does it mean someone in his family is the father? Or is he ruled out all together?
