Obviously, modifications can be made to any device with proper programming or hacking knowledge, software, and an ability to connect your device to a computer. However, when referencing to "jailbreak an iPod," this is said as though jailbreaking ALONE is doing something, that thus will change the way your iPod works even without making any modifications to it, and then people discuss "which jailbreak" they prefer to use. Please explain.
Previous answer was that jailbreaking allows "unapproved" applications. However, I have seen posts that say "You can do this on a jailbroken iPod", in reply riskier that has nothing to do with "apps". Such as posts about music files.
