what does it mean to be a salsa dancing geologist ?

I am a geologist, I walk around in the bush looking for gold, facing danger, hardship and deprivation. On the other hand I dance salsa, get dressed in fine clothes and gyrate around with practiced movements to impress the ladies . How does this fit together ? These are 2 extremes,
