What does it mean for a 30 days notice for a Rogers internet termination ?

Let's say i call in rogers and ask them to terminate my internet services. Does that mean that they will terminate the service 30 days later :S ... i would like to call them in today, so that i dont have to use rogers for another whole month (september) . please help ASAP im a little confused :S
