I am looking into buying a car and the ad says the rear bumper of the car on the driver's side is "broken" but still attached. Does anyone know how much it would cost to fix this? Also the ad says it needs new crank bearings and it shouldn't cost more than $100. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks so much!

The bumper will cost you over $1000.00 to replace; paint and look like new...The crank bearings may only cost $100 but the labor is going to be an another $1000 maybe two. Also it may be more serious than that and you need a whole engine which will cost you like 3 or 4 k

walk away if it needs crank bearings more than 100 to fix.parts cheap labor wouldn't be. plus if it needs crank bearings it ran out of oil and needs much more. rod bearings would be bad and cylinders would be scored. it would need a total rebuild of the engine.
