What does "home-and-home" mean in sports?

I keep hearing about teams playing "home-and-home" games when I see news stories on basketball. What does this term mean?

The headlines are like this:
UCF Baseball Set for Home-and-Home with USF
Magic Open Home-And-Home Series With Knicks
 
They play two consecutive home games against those teams. If they play at home and then at the other teams home then they would call it home and away.
