What does Fish Oil tablets do for you?

My grandpa is making me take them 2 or 3 times a day, but i don't know what it will do for me.
He says it will hep my skin, (i have dry skin) and my hair, nails, etc..

but what does it help exactly?

im 16 and i recently started taking two a day. And everyone keeps telling me they are super benifical! They help your heart and clear your arteries along with giving you healthyer nails and skin. If you dont get a really detailed anwser you can look under my asked questions and you can find some great responses =) i recently asked this question too
 
it has omegas. I personally prefer flaxseed oil. It's good for hair and nails and it doesn't leave that terrible fishy taste in your mouth.

My brother actually used to take them for his eyes, he has very dry eyes. They helped with preventing his contacts from drying out, apparently.
Since he moved out to college ,they were left in my bathroom, and i have been wondering what they would be good for and if i should take them. Thanks for the excuse to research them :b
 
What they do for me is make me nauseous, and make me poop a lot.

They are supposed to have heart-healthy omega 3 fatty acids, and protein and lutiens to help hair and nails. I don't know about skin.

I think they are for grandpa, not for us. But they won't hurt you (as long as they don't make you blow chunks).
