what does a three man team need for a 2 day hiking trip?

okay we are first timers so we are bad at it but we want to take a 2 day hike
were 40,40, and 13 years in age
we live in wisconsin and are also wondering what good places u can do a 2 day hike on that are prety and hvae maybe a fishable river close by.

also what do we need as far as food water ect ect
any cheep clothing we can get for hiking?
and how far do u think we can go.

do not take cotton. the saying for hikers is "cotton kills". once it gets wet, it stays wet for a long time and if you are in bad weather it could be fatal. bring essentials like pocket knife, lighter, etc... make sure you will have good water throughout the entire trip
