What does a therapist do to diagnose you with an eating disorder?

On tuesday i have to visit my therapist with my mum for a special appointment about their concern that i proberly have an eating disorder. Its not serious at the moment but what will happen? Will they just talk to me about it or will it have to be filed or..? thanks
