mean? How much will it cost to repair? It's a 1998 Ford Countour SE, early production November 1997, 2.0 L engine, automatic transmission, 4 cylinder, 131K miles.
My car has been gunning funny every now and then when I drive for the last week. I had a tune up, oil change, and replaced the spark plugs and valve cover gasket (it was leaking onto the spark plugs). Yesterday the check engine light came on and it read a P0708 code (Trans Range Sensor Circuit High Input). What does that mean? What repair does that involve? About how much will it cost to repair?
This is my first car, owned it a little over 2 years. I am the third owner. I'm not sure how well the car's maintenance was before I purchased the vehicle.
I've had to replace most of the parts - including engine, catalytic converter, belts & tensioners (timing, serpentine, etc.), radiator, battery, brakes, tires, headlight pigtail and gasket, etc. Probably a good $5,000-6,000 in parts and labor.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.
