What doctor do i go see for an abcess in the belly button / pain in the belly button?

I have an puss / blood come out of the belly button and I am pretty sure its an abscess this has been happening to me for some time (about 3-4 years) and I just let it drained out. It usually happens during very warm climates but its February and now I am starting to get tenderness and pain around my belly button. I really don't know what doctor to see, I have been to my normal doctor and he tells me to put some ointment when ever it bursts and that's it, but I'm kind of scared if it could be more serious then just an abscess..
 
A regular doctor should be able to treat this, however, it sounds like your doctor is not concerned. I would get a second opinion to find out why it keeps reoccurring.
