In about a month I will have a 55g tank with:
1 Oscar ( 12-14" )
1 Green Terror ( 10-12" )
1 Cactus Pleco ( 8-10" )
2 Red finned tinfoil barb ( 6-8" )
2 Hagen Aquaclear 110 ( 500GPH EA )
2 Marineland Stealth Heaters
1 60g Air Pump
Pool Filter sand
Lava Rock
Flourescent lighting
Food:
Hikari Pellets
Frozen BW
Crickets ( store bought )
Earth worms

no, look at it this way:
12" Oscar- 12g taken
10" Pleco-10g taken
2X 8" barbs- 16g taken
10" green terror- 10g taken
12+10+16+10= 48
that leaves 7g of growing space which they really dont need because the sizes i mentioned were already full grown.
