What do you think of your writing skills?

Where do you see yourself compared to other authors? i think writing is often filled with people who think they're something amazing, but lets face it, thats not so =)

I personally see myself as kind of amateur, but not as much a beginner as others.

Where do you see yourself fitting in? And does it bother you that some people think their opinions special on here?

Artists of all types are a difficult lot to understand. Maybe because we try so hard not to conform to what's popular. I carry my artist personality with me into every aspect of my life, so I expect to be misunderstood most of the time. Life's more interesting through the eyes of a true artist, even though it's not always pleasant.

I've accepted the fact that by not fitting into the norm (whatever that is,) I am a perfect fit. You're only an amateur as long as you feel you are. Move ahead with whatever drives you and learn to accept other artists for themselves-we're all fighting the same battle inside. Some are a bit curt; that's their way. I try not to discourage others since I can't climb inside their heads to see what they're seeing until they can portray it in words or on a stage or on canvas, etc. One day you will be the authority figure-remember that your critics are your best teachers!
 
I do like my writing, but I know I'm getting better and better everyday. I mean my spelling is horrible its not even funny. Oh well thank god for spell check. I do to see myself as a amateur. As I get older I hope to become an expert, until then I will just read and write for the hell of it. I think my writing is average compared to some authors and better then others. I am in the middle. I see myself just answering peoples questions that's all and publishing my novel. :D
