Although this is not one of my best pieces....we were told to write about something to do with an underwater city/town
I was the only one in my 7th grade class at the age of 13 to not write about something dealing with a movie?
Here is it!!!
An Adventure
I was in a deep blue sea of fish. Underwater, a place I loved. Well I did love. My mom died 2 years ago while snorkeling, I miss her. My dad is an oceanography scientist. He loves the ocean, even after Mom died. It was my last chance to go underwater before I moved to Arizona. A dry, hot, humid, environment. I hadn’t been under the water science Mom’s death and my Dad insisted I go with him for the very last time. My best friends Breanna and Alice came with me for moral support. They kept saying, “You’ll do fine” and “It is perfectly safe.” I thought differently.
Driving to the sub was easy. The hard part was getting out of the car and getting into the sub. Alice kept saying, “Just close your eyes.” Me being myself said, “What happens if I fall?” I didn’t want to die at the age of 12. Once we started getting deeper and deeper I kept getting more nervous and nervous. The farther we kept going the harder it was going to take us to reach sea level again. We finally reached the sea ground and I thought the worst was over. Nope. My dad was driving and then he passed out. I panicked and yelled at Breanna, “Go pull the emergency driver alarm.” Breanna had to pull the wrong plug and we started spinning in the ocean floor. We finally stopped, our sub all messed up. I checked the gas gauge. “Danget!!!!!” Breanna and Alice said at the same time in a panicked voice, “What!” I said, “We lost al of our gasoline.” Just then we loose our connection too. “Breanna, we had just lost gas and now we just lost our connection.” Alice looked at me and said, “What do we do, we don’t have that much oxygen.” I looked at Breanna then at Alice and said, “I don’t think our underwater adventure could get any worse but we are going to have to live off of the sub and the sea.”
Breanna looked at Alice. Alice looked at Breanna. Breanna and Alice both looked at me. Breanna went to go move my dad. Alice ran to the coroner crying and saying, “We are going to die.” I just stood there studded and speechless. I then remembered what my dad told me when I was little. In an emergency there will always snorkel gear and air tanks. I grabbed Breanna and say, “Come on, we are going to snorkel.” While snorkeling I found a bunch of fish bones. I said, “Ewww” and “Not good.” We finished diving and I found a spear and another and another. I looked at the ground. Breanna pulled my wrist and made me look up at the arch. We both said at the same time, “Watertopia.”
Breanna and I went to go back to the sub to tell Alice what we found. “Alice, Alice” I called. “Breanna and I found something to help us live.” Alice said, “I found something to.” I said, “You go first.” “Well…. I found a fishing net to catch fish with in the sub.” We all had huge grins on our face. “Breanna, what did you guys find?’’ asked Alice. “Oh” Breanna and I exchanged glances and said, “we found fish spears.” Alice suggested that we try to steer our way back to Watertopia and see if we can find anything that could be useful. We all agreed and started to move. I got in the drivers seat and told Breanna and Alice, Just so you guys know, you guys are the best thing that has ever happened to me and if you could tell my dad I love him.” “Oh and one more thing, if I don’t make it, please burry me by my mom.” Breanna and Alice ran over and for maybe the last time we all held hands and said, “Best Friends For Ever!!!”
Once we got in Watertopia we found different things. We found ancient forks and knives and we even found one piece of jewelry. Bre said, “We had been in here more that 16 hours, I don’t thing it could get any worse.” I said quick, “Knock on wood, you don’t want to jinix it.” All 3 of us started laughing non stop. While in Watertopia we ate fish and from me and my friends experiences I would recommend that you eat “land food.” “Beep……….Beep………Beep……………Beep” We all looked at each other and this time we all screamed, “We’re goona die.” Alice said, “What was that?” I then said, “Wait everyone calm down. I know what that was. Um……. Well….. I think that we are loosing oxygen.” Breanna thought that it was probably a good idea to go look for anything else we can find in Watertopia that could help us save our lives. This was it, just when we thought we were going to be okay, we had come to the end of our lives.
“Look, Look” said Breanna. “Aren’t these big heavy these called air tanks and I know what those are, gasoline tanks. I then swallowed a ton of water because I forgot to talk through my mouth piece and yelled, “Breanna you are brilliant.” We brought back the air tanks and put then in the oxygen refill cabinet and the beeping stopped. I told the girls I
