The current cost for the 30,000 troops needed in afghanistan is 30 billion dollars,that's 1 million for each soldier.All this money to protect the US from terrorists(yeah whatever)and secure freedom for the afghan people.Who gives a rats a$$ about the freedom of a bunch of muslims who would turn on the US at the drop of a hat,it's all about the oil.I say,bring home all the soldiers and use the money to beef up the borders of the US and double our national security system.I bet the government could do this and only spend a fraction of what they're spending on the war.Another reason why they will not do this is the war is part of the governments plan to completely bankrupt the US,and obama is involved with this just as W. was,that's why obama is following right in W,s. foot prints.What is your opinion about the governments actions in this current situation.Thanks for your comments,good or bad.
To date,obama has spent almost half of what the entire war has costed since 2001,and that is just in 2010.How much do you think he'll spend in his next 3 years on the war.
Also,the oil is in iraq in which we're still there,and surrounding countries with afghanistan.
