She’s so close to breaking,
her hands are shaking.
she tried to remember why she’s here,
the thoughts she cant bear.
keep telling her she’s not good enough,
go ahead, call their bluff.
with all the things she’s been through,
its no wonder that she’s blue.
all the fights, all the tears,
all the laugher, forget those years.
see the dad that she had
of course things had to go bad.
sitting there helpless with tears in her eyes,
its no wonder that she cries.
see what she saw when she was 10,
then have it replay over again.
she never said they were close,
that’s understandable I suppose.
her family had issues,
but she didn’t need no tissues.
take your sympathy and walk away,
just don’t forget to pray.
compared to the world, she had a good life,
but she didn’t think that when her hand help that knife.
so confused, so broken down,
she cant help but wear a frown.
but no one ever seemed to see it,
her smile always seemed pretty legit.
she always hid her feelings,
seemed to hold her head up high to the ceilings.
if only everyone knew,
just what she had been through.
maybe her life would have been saved,
and today her name wouldn’t be engraved.
we always cry when someone goes,
forgetting it is what they chose.
