A Wedding Night Prayer

Our new anointed life begun,
To You we turn, Immortal One,
Those holy vows we spoke today,
Deny them, briefly, if You may,
And free them of this fervid flight,
Lord, save them for the morning light.

Tomorrow may we grow in Love,
The utmost bliss that dwells above,
But on this night we only know,
The nether bliss that swells below,
Forgive us Lord, tonight we share,
Unholy vows in underwear.
