I think the future episodes are going to be less popular now since there are so many new show going on.
Well if they make episodes that reflect on something shocking or amusing in the future or today , for example Janet's boob accident, then the future episodes would be less corny, but if the episode was shown in a very late date then it would be corny or something.
 
Here is my view:
What is the point of making new eposides of the The Simpsons if most of the parts turn out to be corny.

the old ones were alot Entertaining, they had better storylines.
