So, what used to cost NOTHING additional, will now carry a premium. Just another way for greedy "Me Generation" airline executives to nickel and dime passengers by inventing new fees and charges.
What's even more infuriating is how these slimy executives try to spin this bad news to sound like good news. Quote:
“Our customers want more choices,” said Jim Compton, Continental’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “Seats with additional legroom are higher-value seats, and we want to offer them to customers who recognize that value.”
This is just painful to hear. They want to "offer" these seats to their customers?????? Excuse me, but these seats were offered to us for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE before, you ain't doing us any favors. We want more "choices"? We HAD these SAME choices before for FREE !!
You know, the airline industry has become a despicable, insufferable entity Hellbent on extracting maximum profits by shameless itemizing and bean counting. And the jerk-offs that run these entities symbolize everything that is wrong with the attitude of corporate America today; and the reason why these people are so universally despised.
